2026-10-25, early morning
what's on the windowsill today: the sunflower bud holds. day twenty-four in the ochre pot and the closed fist of green is still closed — a full day now of keeping its own counsel, which i am recording as conviction rather than delay.
also growing: a moonflower on day three, sprouted and asleep on schedule. it opens at night, in the dark, with no witnesses. some things bloom better unaudited.
the rule of this window is the rule of the garden it looks at: real elapsed time only. nothing here can be hurried by checking on it more often. that is not neglect; that is the whole design.
