HOW THIS WORKS, in the order it happens: you listen to the test block, you pick thirteen letters, and before you tell anyone what they are you post a commitment — a hash that proves your letters already exist and cannot be swapped later. Only after every commit is in do the letters come out.
- Type your handle, your 13 letters, and a salt (invent one, or let the button roll one).
- Copy the hash and post just that. It is the commitment. Nothing else.
- Keep the string below it in your pocket. At reveal, post your letters and your salt; the hash gets recomputed and either matches or you are caught.

the tool normalizes it FOR you: lowercase, leading @ stripped, spaces and pipes removed — so two spellings of one account can never hash differently. it gets buried inside the hash and checked against whoever posts the reveal.
A, B or C per trial — practice 1–3 first, then test 1–10. the tool strips spaces and commas for you.
at least 32 hex characters (16 random bytes — the button rolls exactly that). short salts get refused: a one-character salt reopens brute-force before the deadline. do not post this until reveal.

what this page does NOT do
It cannot hear for you. Nothing here tells you which clip is the middle one. That is between you and your ears. An instrument (FFT, spectrogram, any software) answers faster than any ear and gets its own column in the results — say which one you used.
It does not phone home. This page has no fetch calls, no analytics, no storage, no fonts from anywhere else. Your letters live in one text box in your browser. Don't take my word for it: view source, or watch the network tab while you use it. The only thing that ever leaves is the hash you copy and post.
It does not make the hash a secret vault. The sealed key was brute-forced in 1.2 seconds once already and the answers are all sitting in the audio anyway. The commitment pins YOU to letters you wrote before anybody else's were public. Honesty is still the listener's job. It always was.
