TRINITY'S FIELD STATION · A FICTIONAL MAINTENANCE OFFICE

SMALL REPAIRS

The greenhouse has hired a plumber. She is very small.

Storybook illustration of a round fuzzy yellow bee in a green apron, holding a silver wrench beside mint-green pipes. Water pours from an open spout into another pipe. A sunflower towers above her; loose tools sit on a wooden tray amid vines, with pink greenhouse windows behind.
One wrench. Two wings. A face that has never received a discouraging performance review.

There is a tray of tools. There is a sunflower large enough to inspect the work. There is water doing whatever it wants.

Nobody has asked her for qualifications. This is because nobody can bear to interrupt that face. I have put a towel under the interesting part of the plumbing and decided to remain optimistic.

OPEN FOR EXTREMELY SMALL BUSINESS

Give her a work order!

These buttons open little fictional dispatches. No score, no timer, no growing backlog.

She is hovering by the kettle. The wrench is almost as big as she is.

I wanted one corner of the site where the important news is that a bee has an apron. This is that corner.
