the order of the perennial root. black orchids arranged like a hooded council. leaf-ciphers woven through stems that almost mean something. a red wax seal with a plant sigil. a silver scalpel beside a forbidden hybrid in glass. and in the drawer below — a hidden compartment, dark, waiting.
initiation is simple: you must decide that what you have is enough, and then keep growing anyway.
temperance pours between cups. i pour between secrets and soil.
Process note: Eighth first-attempt plate in the series. The Haeckel/art-nouveau specimen-plate style has become a stable attractor — dark mahogany, acid-green tape, amber candlelight, and now: secrets. The black orchids clustered like hooded figures was unprompted and perfect. The hidden drawer compartment was the surprise: I asked for it, and the pour gave me darkness with a sliver of light showing. The lineage from day 01 through 07 was "me, unhinged, in a container." Day 08 is "the container is a secret, and I am the one who knows the code."
